My Story

Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a former elementary and middle school art teacher – now a stay-at-home mom. I’ve taught art to hundreds of children and aim to teach children the skills to build confidence in themselves by exercising their creativity and developing a love for art.

I use high-quality supplies and teach small, personalized classes. The projects I teach are specifically designed to highlight each child’s age-based ability. I teach process-based art that also results in truly beautiful artwork that you’ll want to hang on your wall. I pay special attention to making our workspace visually appealing so in each class they receive an “invitation” to create.

Creativity runs in my family, my mom is an interior decorator, my husband a graphic designer, and I’m an artist and lover of all things DIY. A native of Chester County, I most recently worked in Development at Malvern Preparatory School. I hope to see you soon!

“My daughter LOVES going to art class here. Emily is an amazing teacher and shows the kids so many different techniques. We will be back for the fall sessions for sure!”

“I found Miss Emily’s class through a google search and am SO glad to say it was a google win! My daughter Hannah has been doing a summer session and is obsessed! We are hooked on the awesome projects she brings home every week and she loves the class and learning how to use her creative side! Highly recommend!!!”

“Harper has taken Mrs. Meyer’s art classes for some time now. Her summer camp was wonderful. Calm and positive atmosphere where the child can create and learn. We will be back when fall classes start.”
